PROMOTION RULE(S)
Only recommendations for scholastic coaches will be considered.
All communication regarding this process will come directly from the Athletic Office. Some candidates may not meet the Medical Director's criteria and therefore may not be eligible to proceed. To avoid confusion or giving false hope, please refrain from contacting any individuals prior to our initial screening. In the past, premature communication has led to misunderstandings with students and families.
7th grade students must begin the season at the Modified level. They will only be considered for advanced placement if they clearly demonstrate it is appropriate before 50% of the season has passed. This process was initiated last Winter and has proven to be a strong indicator of proper placement.
Maximum Number of Contests/Representation is Sport and Level Specific and they accumulate (IE - 6 Modified Games, then promoted to JV, they would then be on game 7).
A 9th Grader can be promoted from Modified to Freshman/JV/Varsity at ANY TIME, but once they have practiced or competed at the High School Level, they CANNOT go back to Modified.
A Junior-High (7/8th Grade) Student can be promoted 'prior-to' the 'START' of 50% of the season. (IE - If their maximum number of games is 12, and the 6th Game scheduled has started, then they are not permitted to be promoted after that point).
